Everton extend Jagielka deal

Everton centre-back Phil Jagielka has put pen to paper on a new long-term contract with the Toffees that will keep him at the club for two more years.

Jagielka has established himself as one of the most reliable centre-backs in the Premier League since joining the Merseyside club from Sheffield United in 2007. The 30 year-old’s consistency and leadership qualities have earned him Everton’s captain armband.

Jagielka has made 21 appearances this season.
