FA Cup quarter-finals preview: Everton vs Wigan Athletic

FA Cup quarter-finals preview: Everton vs Wigan Athletic

Everton boss David Moyes is set to field all his big guns in pursue of the first Toffees trophy in 10 years in charge at Goodison Park.

Everton team news:

The first-choice goalkeeper remains a major doubt against Latics, after missing out Everton’s encounter with Reading due to back injury. Moyes experiences selection headache, as his key defender Phil Jagielka is set to undergo a surgery following an ankle injury, while Tony Hibbert has not returned to full fitness. Out-of-favor Johnny Heitinga is likely to be included in the first XI by the Scot.

Wigan team news:

Wigan boss Roberto Martínez could hand his centre-back Antolin Alcaraz an opportunity to make his first start after spending half a year on the sidelines. Aroune Kone, who has scored four goals in his last three games, is likely to team up with Franco Di Santo up front.

Adrian Lopez and Ryo Miyaichi became available for the selection after recovering from injuries, while Ramis, Pollitt, Crusat and Watson will definitely miss the game.

I would really love to see the Toffees win the Cup. Moyes deserves the title for all the years!
