Fresh Taylor injury woe for Newcastle

Newcastle have suffered a major blow with the news their defender Ryan Taylor has suffered fresh injury which could sideline him for an entire next season.

Taylor damaged his knee during Europa League qualifying game against Atromitos last August and underwent a surgery. He was forced to spend around eight months on the sidelines and just returned to a full training, but suffered a setback to his injury, which could force his to miss “the majority, if not all, of next season”.

Newcastle boss Alan Pardew said: “Ryan has worked so hard and diligently since his injury. He has been a model patient and has given his all to ensure he could return to full training in the best condition possible. Clearly everyone at the club is deeply saddened by this news. Ryan has and will continue to receive the full support of everyone at Newcastle United during this difficult time for him.”
