Fulham Diarra dropped from of Mali’s squad

ESPN informs that Fulham’s midfielder Mahamadou Diarra is set to miss African Nations Cup after being dropped from Mali’s squad.

The 31-year-old midfielder has received call-up despite being on the sidelines for about a month due to injury. Diarra has picked up a knee injury in Fulham’s 3-0 defeat to Tottenham in the beginning of December. Fulham boss Martin Jol has openly expressed his frustration after the news that Mali still intended to call up Diarra for the tournament.

However Mali have listened to the recommendations of Fulham’s medical team and reconsidered their initial decision.
