Fulham sign Sascha Riether from Köln

FC Köln midfielder Sascha Riether will start the new season in the Premier League. The player was signed on a year loan by Fulham yet the financial side of the agreement is kept in secret.

Riether spent major part of his football career in Freiburg where he played in the junior team and the first squad. In 2007 Riether moved to Wolfsburg signing a four-year deal, later he helped the club to win Bundesliga title in 2009.

FC Köln was the third club in his career as the team paid 2,8 million euros for his transfer. The player appeared in 33 matches, yet the team saw relegation at the end of the season. The player decided to leave and Fulham is ready to pay 2,5 million euros for the quarter-back.
