Galatasaray eye switch for Fulham Frei

Galatasaray are seriously considering the possibility of signing highly-rated Fulham midfielder Kerim Frei.

The 19-year-old Swiss has made 17 appearances this season in all competitions, and is held in high regard by the Cottagers’ coaching staff. Gala sporting director Bulent Tulun has visited England to watch the player in action and was to such an extent impressed with player’s performance, he persuaded the Turkish giants to make an official inquiry as regards his availability.

Frei has recently changed allegiance from Switzerland to Turkey and could play in official games for Turkey. Galatasaray are also closely monitoring the development of another young star – Reading midfielder Jem Karacan.
