Gotze: “We should not pay attention to Mourinho comments”

The German midfielder underlined that his teammates should not be flattered by Jose Mourinho claims that Borussia is the favorite in the Champions League race.

Mario Gotze stated he does not pay attention to Jose Mourinho words that Borussia is the main contender of the Champions League trophy. The player said:” These words show they have much respect. Yet many candidates are being mentioned, we shouldn’t pay attention to that.”

Borussia finished atop of the group with Real Madrid, Ajax and Manchester City without losing a match.

The team’s run in the Bundesliga is not so successful with the side standing third with 12-points gap from leading Bayern. The midfielder insisted that the team is not focused enough on the domestic championship, stating:” It’s not that we played awfully. It was annoying to lose points in matches like the one against Wolfsburg. That one just didn’t go very well for us.”
