Granero faces QPR exit

Granero faces QPR exit

Queens Park Rangers midfielder Esteban Granero is expecting to leave the relegated club in the near future, according to his agent.

The former U-21 Spain star has joined the Rangers from Real Madrid, agreeing a four-year deal Loftus Road. He was one among several big-money signings, designed to strengthen QPR and help the team reach a respectable Premier League position. However the inflow of new players did now prevent the Rangers from avoiding relegation, as they finished bottom of the table.

Now the team is desperately looking to offload their high-earning players in a bid to balance the books.

Granero’s agent Teo Lazaro said the 25-year-old Spaniard, who was considered a hot prospect for the future not long ago, is set to search for a new club this summer. He said: “QPR will have to part ways with a number of highly paid players following their relegation from the Premier League. Among those players listed is the name of my client. Basically, we have to find a new club.”
