Higuain hints at move away from Real Madrid

Higuain hints at move away from Real Madrid

Real Madrid forward Gonzalo Higuain has put Premier League clubs on alert by stating he is open to a departure from Santiago Bernabeu.

The recent speculations linking him with a move to England with Tottenham and Arsenal considered the favourites to land the 25-year-old forward. In particular, the player has been mentioned as a possible makeweight in a deal that could bring Gareth Bale to Real Madrid. Arsenal are also rumoured to be closely monitoring the situation with the player.

Higuain’s father has once said that a switch to Premier League would be a “great opportunity”, with the player himself hinting his spell with Real Madrid is coming to an end.

Asked whether he will extend his deal with the Spanish giants, Higuain stated: “I am available to the club but I will not say any more. This is not the time. I can only say that I’m committed to the club and will help the team until the end of the season.”

With both London clubs experiencing firepower crisis, signing of Higuain for a reduced price in summer could be a marvelous piece of business.
