Holtby set to join Tottenham this summer

Tottenham have confirmed the signing of the 22-year-old highly-rated midfielder Lewis Holtby from Schalke.

The Spurs faced stern competition from several top Premier League clubs for the signature of the Germany U-21 skipper including Arsenal and Liverpool but managed to outbid their opponents.

Lewis Holtby has recently revealed that he would not like to consider a contract offer from Schalke and prefers to make a move to England the country his father came from when his contract expires.

Holtby is thought to have signed a contract worth £3.5million per year to move to Tottenham.
