Icardi is keen to join Argentina

The 19-year-old forward will play for Argentine national team .

Argentine manager Alejandro Sabella claimed the gifted striker Mauro Icardi would join his side, underlining: ”he told me that it is his desire to play for Argentina.”

Sampdoria player Mauro Icardi was born in Argentina, yet lived for a long time in Italy and has the paperwork to appear for both national sides.

“I didn’t promise him anything, but I gave him the certainty that he is being observed and that he could be selected,” claimed the head coach who watches the player during the match between Sampdoria and Roma.
