Inter fines Cassano

Serie A side decided to punish the player after his quarrel with the head coach.

Inter forward Antonio Cassano argued with Andrea Stramaccioni during the training session last week. The Italian international was subsequently left out of the pecking order in the match in Catania and returned to training only on Monday after he openly apologized for the actions.

Still Inter officials decided to fine the player €40,000 for his behavior. It remains unclear whether the forward will feature in Europe League game against Tottenham this week.
