Joe Cole set to join West Ham

Liverpool are prepared to offer their midfielder Joe Cole massive £4 million pay-off to leave the club.

Joe Cole has reportedly rejected QPR’s offer and is ready to join his boyhood club West Ham. Liverpool are keen on selling the player to ease their wage bill. They are ready to release him on a free transfer and hand a £4 million pay-off.

The 31 year-old former England international has 18 month remaining on his £90,000 per week deal. By paying him off £4 million Liverpool are still set to save around £4 million.

Cole has turned into fringe player at Liverpool this season making just six and scoring one goal.
