Juventus issue hands off warning to Manchester United over Marchisio

Juventus general manager Guiseppe Marotta moved in to dismiss the speculation linking their midfielder Claudio Marchisio with a move to Manchester United.

The recent transfer rumours suggested the 27-year-old Italian could be leaving the Bianconeri with in a bid to join Manchester United. New boss David Moyes is reportedly keen on adding player to his ranks to add some creativity to his midfield, with Marchisio himself admitting he fancies the prospect of switching to Old Trafford.

Although Marchisio has spent his entire career with the Old Lady, he revealed he is ‘very proud’ of being linked with a move to Manchester United.

However Marotta made it clear Juve want to retain the services of their midfielder, who has four years remaining at his current deal. He said: “Marchisio? There is no meeting; there is no problem with him. Juventus have never thought about putting him on the market, he is an important player and we will try to keep him with us.”
