'Kuba' stays in Dortmund till 2016

Jakub Blaszczykowski signed a new deal with Borussia that runs till 2016.

The player claimed at the press conference he was delighted to sign a new contract, underlining that there were few clubs that achieved so much in the last two seasons as BVB did.

Borussia director of sport Michael Zorc told the German press he was satisfied with the agreement, as the player represented the club with pride and last season proved to be extra valuable for the team.

The Pole scored six times and made ten assists in the season 2011/2012, yet he assured he would beat the record in the upcoming campaign, stating he would continue to help Borussia and was willing ‘to achieve more in the Champions League because Borussia have the quality to do so.’
