La Liga preview: Barcelona vs. Celta

La Liga preview: Barcelona vs. Celta

Celta is a clear minnow in La Liga this season, yet injury-plagued Barcelona should be careful with the team.

The Catalan giants should claim a convincing victory against the side that hangs second to bottom, but number of factors may turn the game into a difficult task.

The Blaugrana will play without several key players as Pedro, Jordi Alba and Xavi are all injured, Carles Puyol and Victor Valdes will miss the mathc due to suspencion. The fact that should worry Barca fans even more is that the club won only one in their last five away matches in all competitions.

The Spanish giants have almost secured the home title this term and will focus on the Champions League run where they play against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.

Celta desperately needs points for keeping their place in the top flight lagging three points behind Real Zaragoza, who occupy the last safe position. The hosts will hope to use the disruption of an international break this week as more than half of Barca squad went on international duty.

According to latest FC Barcelona news, the game at the Camp Nou in November saw Barca score three goals courtesy of Adriano, David Villa and Jordi Alba, though the sides were level after the first half.
