Lahm agrees with Sammer criticism

The German midfielder responded to the critical statement made by sporting director Matthias Sammer who claimed earlier that Bayern should improve.

The German midfielder said that Sammer has a right to talk about the team, stating: “It’s his job to talk about things like that, especially when things are going well. The footballers pay more attention to it than when we are beaten, because there’s already a lot of external criticism then.”

Lahm expressed his hope that criticism will influence the side. “It didn’t seem to work on Saturday as I don’t reckon we played well. Yet I believe we’ll improve over time,” added the German international.
