Lazio and Juve: chasing the Coppa Italia triumph

Lazio and Juve: chasing the Coppa Italia triumph

Lazio and Juve are fighting for the ticket to the Italian Cup final on Tuesday.

Juventus played his cards right in Serie A this weekend clinching a resounding victory over Udinese 4-0 while all top clubs failed to grab three points. The Old Lady is leading the table with a comfortable 5-points gap, clearly responding to the critics that diagnosed crisis in the team with a convincing performance.

The following test comes on Tuesday when Juve clashes with second-placed Lazio in the semi-final of the Italian Cup. The latest only managed to escape from a 2-0 loss to Palermo equalizing one minute before time. After that disappointing draw Vladimir Petkovic is eager to beat Juve in the Cup competition making a mental blow that will put pressure on the opponent.

The big problem for the Capital club is the loss of the main striking force Miroslav Klose who netted 10 goals this season. Ederson and Abdoulay Konko are also sidelined in Lazio, yet it is Juve who has more troubles with the squad as Giorgio Chiellini, Nicklas Bendtner , Marchisio and Simone Pepe will miss the match due to injuries. The Turin fans will insert their hopes on Paul Pogba who showed remarkable performance in the last game against Udinese and scored twice.

The last fixture of the teams in the league ended in a 0-0 draw, though the clash in the Cup will give us a winner who will have a chance to take the Cup and make his point about league title.
