Lewandowski revealed desire to leave Dortmund
Borussia Dortmund forward Robert Lewandowski confirmed he would like to part ways with his club and make a move to his ‘dream club’.
Although 24-year-old Poland international has not specified what club he dreams of, earlier it has been widely expected he is set to join bitter rivals Bayern Munich. According to the latest speculation he has signed a pre-contract agreement and will join the ranks of Bayern Munich either this or next year. Lewandowski has a year left on his contract, which makes it likely Borussia Dortmund prefer to cash in on their player rather than release him for free next year.
Should the deal go through, this will be the second major blow for Borussia Dortmund this season, as their star Mario Goetze is poised to leave Wetsfalenstadion for the Allianz Arena.
Lewandowski said: “I expect everything to be cleared up now so that I will be allowed to move to my dream club this summer. That would be the best for everybody involved. Dortmund are a fantastic club whom I will always admire. It’s just now I want a new challenge for my future.”
