Ligue 1 results: Lyon reach the third place

Lyon ended a three-match losing run with a 3-1 win over Toulouse.

The hosts opened the score eight minutes into the game courtesy of Clement Grenier shot after Alexandre Lacazette cross. Toulouse bounced back thanks to Wissam Ben Yedder close range effort on 28 minutes as Lyon failed to take advantage of their possession.

The French giants increased the pace after the break and scored the second one with Bakary Kone’s header. Toulouse created a couple of chanced to level the score but eventually Lyon forward Bafetimbi Gomis fired home just after the hour mark making the score 3-1.

The seven-times French champions climbed to the third place with 56 points and six matches left to play.
