Ligue 1 results: Saint-Etienne leapfrog Lyon

Saint-Etienne sealed a victory against strugglers Evian Thonon Gaillard to reach the third place in the table.

Les Verts extended their unbeaten run to 16 games in all competitions in 2013 as the cub dominated in the game against Evian, yet managed to score only a late goal. Evian goalkeeper Bertrand Laquait deflected a Romain Hamouma header into the target on 77minutes as Saint-Etienne went above Lyon in the race for the Champions League spot.

St Etienne have 53 points with a goal difference of +26, while Lyon who was beaten by Stade Reims 1-0 have the same number of points with a goal difference +16.
