Liverpool to bid for Ajax Eriksen

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is looking to lure highly-rated Ajax midfielder Christian Eriksen to the Anfield in summer.

The 21-year-old Dane, whose current deal is due to expire in 12 months, has publicly admitted he is not interested in renewing the terms with his current club, and needs to move to bigger club if he is to further his career. With a host of Premier League club said to be keen on securing the Dane’s services, he is likely to head to England in summer.

Tottenham have been monitoring the progress of the player for around year, but Liverpool appear to be the favourites to sign him, as he fits the profile of player Brendan Rodgers is looking for. Should the Reds miss out on Eriksen, they may turn their attention to either Shakhtar’s Mkhitaryan or Newcastle’s Ben Arfa.
