Liverpool line up move for Barcelona Alexis Sanchez

Liverpool have been the latest club to join the chase for Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez.

Barcelona have managed to win a fierce competition for the signature of the talented player a year ago, landing him for £23 million from Udinese in 2011, but he failed to impress at Camp Nou. As a result, the 24-year-old Chile international has been experiencing the lack of first-team football this season, having made just nine appearances and scoring one goal.

Liverpool are believed to be looking for a potential replacement to their forward Luis Suarez who is poised to leave for Bayern Munich this season. Sanchez himself is keen on the perspective of returning to Italy where he enjoyed the best football of his careerm, with both Juventus and Napoli ready to offer him an escape route from Camp Nou as he is still held in high regard in Italy.
