Liverpool, Man City, Tottenham chase Sampdoria forward Icardi

Daily Mail informs Manchester City are seriously considering the possibility of signing Sampdoria highly-rated striker Mauro Icardi.

The 19-year-old Argentinian has been scouted by several Premier League clubs, including Liverpool and Tottenham. However the player is a self-confessed Inter Milan fan and set his sights on joining the Nerazzurri in summer.

Icardi has shown his class during Sampdoria 3-1 win over Roma, scoring the third goal for his team. Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini who has been watching the game from the stands revealed: “He scored a great goal and moved very well and I must say I liked him.”
