Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani named in Uruguay Olympic squad

Uruguay football federation has announced the squad for the Olympic Games. The manager of the team Oscar Tabarez selected Luis Suarez and Edison Cavani as two main strikers that will lead the team, choosing the Palermo midfielder Egidio Arevalo Rios as the third over-aged player.

The team includes one more Liverpool representative Sebastian Coates though most players of the team play either Italian or Uruguayan championships.

In the group stage Uruguay faces UAE, Senegal and Britain. The team aims to win the third Olympic trophy after claiming the last titles more than 80 years ago in 1924 and 1928.

Goalkeepers: Martin Campana (Cerro Largo), Leandro Gelpi (Penarol)
Defenders: Sebastian Coates (Liverpool), Diego Polenta (Genoa), Ramon Arias (Defensor Sporting), Alexis Rolin (Nacional), Emiliano Albin (Penarol).
Midfielders: Egidio Arevalo Rios (Palermo), Nicolas Lodeiro (Ajax), Matias Aguirregaray (Palermo), Gaston Ramirez (Bologna), Maximiliano Calzada (Nacional), Diego Rodriguez (Defensor Sporting)
