Man City to bid for Higuain

Manchester City are looking to lure Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain to the Etihad stadium in a bid to strengthen their attacking options.

The 25-year-old Argentina international fell out of favour with the Meringues coach Jose Mourinho and could be tempted with the perspective of linking up with his friend Aguero at Man City. The transfer fee for Higuain is believed to be in the region of £25 million.

Roberto Mancini has recently identified lack of goals as the main problem hindering the Citizens to close the 15-point gap on bitter rivals Manchester United who are currently leading the Premier title chase.
