Man City to bid for Real Varane

Daily Express states Manchester City are prepared to battle for the signature of highly-rated Real Madrid centre-back Raphaël Varane.

Varane has put in an excellent performance in the Copa del Rey first-leg semi-final clash against the bitter rivals Barcelona, with equalizing goal being the icing on the cake. The Citizens are said to be considering the 19-year-old France international as a replacement to Joleon Lescott who will be released this summer. Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be closely monitoring the situation.

Varane has made 14 La Liga appearances this season.
