Man City completed the signing of Fernandinho, on the brink of landing Navas

Manchester City have completed the signing of Fernandinho from Shakhtar Donetsk and are on the verge of signing Sevilla winger Jesus Navas, who is set to pass his medical within the next few days.

Manuel Pellegrini, who is widely expected to take charge of City in the next few days, is an admirer of the 27-year-old Spaniard. Man City and Sevilla have agreed a transfer fee in the region of £15million plus bonuses for highly-rated winger.

The Citizens have started they summer transfer campaign in an aggressive fashion in order to try and outstrip their opponents in chase for their targets. They have secured the services of the long-term target Shakhtar Donetsk Fernandinho for £30million.

Fernandinho’s former Shakhtar teammate Eduardo is assured the 28-year-old Brazilian has a bright future in the Premier League. He said: “He has a good chance to play for Manchester City and can show all around the world he is a top player. I think he is one of the best midfielders in Europe.”
