Man City sign Navas from Sevilla

Manchester City confirmed they have completed the signing of highly-rated Sevilla wJnger Jesus Navas.

27-year-old Spain international has successfully passed his medical in New York, after the transfer fee and personal terms were agreed.

After coming through the youth ranks at Sevilla, Navas spent 10 years playing for the senior team. However he has decided he needs to go if he is to further his career.

The Spaniard has won 24 caps and was a part of the team that won the World Cup and European Championship.

Navas, who is the second City’s acquisition this transfer campaign following the arrival of Fernandihno, revealed he is happy to have joined the Citizens. He said: “Manchester City is an exciting project and this is the right moment for me to take this step. I’m very happy with the opportunity and the decision. The Premier League is a competition where the football is very fast and will suit the way I play. I’m really looking forward to it.

“I’m going to a great club in England and I want to continue developing my game there. The club has put a lot of faith in me and I want to repay them out on the pitch,” he added.
