Man City target AZ Alkmaar Maher

Manchester City are seriously considering the possibility of signing the highly-rated AZ Alkmaar youngster Adam Maher.

The 19-year-old playmaker has attracted the attention of the hos of top European clubs following the series of impressive performances with Ajax, PSV, Chelsea and Arsenal said to be closely monitoring the situation. However Manchester City are thought to be the favourites to secure the services of Maher.

City boss Roberto Mancini is looking to land the player as a potential replacement to out-of-favor Samir Nasri. However the Dutch side are unlikely to settle for anything less than £8 million.
