Man Utd target Atletico Madrid's Falcao

According to the latest football news, Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has turned his attention to Atletico Madrid’s prolific striker Radamel Falcao in a bid to strengthen their attacking options.

The sources from inside both United and Atletico suggest the Red Devils have reached a pre-contract agreement by paying certain part of his hefty transfer fee in advance. They implemented the same tactics while trying to win the battle for the signature of in-demand Atletico Madrid’s goalkeeper De Gea.

Although Ferguson is unlikely to match Falcao’s €60 million release clause, he may be willing to pay in the region of £43 million for the player. The Colombian has scored 64 goals in 83 appearances since joining Atletico from Porto in 2011, helping his side to claim Europa League title last season.
