Mark Schwarzer hinted at a possible move away from Fulham

Fulham goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer revealed he could be leaving the Cottagers in summer as he has not been yet offered a new contract.

The current deal of the 40-year-old Australia international is set to expire at the end of the season. Should he be not offered the new deal he will part ways with Fulham for good. Despite Fulham boss Martin Jol stating he is keen on securing the services of the veteran goalie, the Dutchman is currently in the market for a new goalkeeper, and this could be a signal for Schwarzer, it is time to move on.

The Australian said: “Who knows? We’ll have to wait and see. I have a contract until the end of the season, but I want to carry on playing without a doubt. I definitely want to play until the next World Cup with Australia. I’m no closer to signing a new deal and there aren’t any talks at the moment, either. I’m just trying to do the best I can and we’ll see what happens at the end of the season.”
