Monaco eye move for Tevez
French moneybags AS Monaco are hot on the trail of Manchester City forward Carlos Tevez in a bid to allow them competing on equal terms with the French giants Marselle and PSG in Ligue 1 next season.
Ranieri’s side is currently on the course of winning promotion to League 1, being top of Ligue Deux table with eight games to go. Monaco, supported by Russian billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev, have spent around £30million since relegation in 2011.
Rybolovlev is believed to make the signing of Carlos Tevez his priority, as this move could be statement of club’s hard-driving ambitions. The Russian billionaire expects the club to reach the European qualification in the first year since its promotion.
Tevez has been in excellent form this season, having made 24 Premier League appearances and scoring 9 goals.
