Motherwell FC failed to make a winning start in the Champions League

After the 2-0 win Panathinaikos FC will meet Motherwell FC in the second leg in Athens the next week.

Motherwell came close to opening the score with captain Keith Lasley having wonderful opportunity but the attempts failed. Christodoulopoulos’s free-kick gave Panathinaikos lead and Mavrias doubled the score in 76th minute.
