Newcastle target Celtic Wilson

Newcastle are seriously considering the possibility of landing Celtic centre-back Kelvin Wilson, amid the concerns as to whether Fabricio ¬Coloccini remains at the club for one more year.

It is to be recalled that Newcastle skipper ¬Coloccini has reiterated he wants to leave Newcastle for San Lorenzo because of personal matters. Wilson has delivered series of excellent performances this season drawing attention from top European clubs. He has been in particular impressive in the games against might Barcelona. However Celtic are unlikely to settle for anything less than £5 million for the player they signed on a free transfer.

Newcastle boss Alan Pardew has sent his scouts to watch the player in action at St. Mirren today.
