Neymar rejected contract offer from Santos

Neymar put Premier League Clubs on alert by rejecting to extend his stay at Santos.

The Brazilian starlet has been linked with a move to a series of top European clubs, including Manchester City and Chelsea. Barcelona have been considered favourites to land the 21-year-old wonderkid, however Neymar rejected that pre-contract agreement on his move to Camp Noe has been reached.

Santos vice-president Odilio Rodriguez admitted player’s days in Brazil are numbered by saying: “He has informed us that he won’t be renewing his deal because his time at Santos has come to an end.”

With Neymar’s deal expiring at the end of the next season, Manchester City and Chelsea are keen on stealing the march on Barcelona. They will do utmost to lure the player to Premier League.
