The Olympic men's Football semi-final results

Brazil will compete with Mexico for the Olympic Games men’s football title.

The semifinal match between Korea and Brazil ended in a confident South American team’s victory 3-0.

Romulo opened scoring and two Leandro Damiao’s goals left the Republic of Korea playing for bronze.

Brazilians celebrate their remarkable victories, having scored three goals in all their five games. During the Olympic Games Damiao proved himself as the team’s top scorer with six goals so far.

Mexico through to their first gold medal match as they have never competed for Olympic gold before and Japan will face Korea in bronze medal match.

So unlike Japan women’s team, The Blue Samurai team couldn’t make it to the final.

Yuki Otsu brought Japan lead in the 12th minute, but Mexico went on pressing and Marco Fabian responded in the 31st minute.

During the second half Japan failed to hold strikes from Oribe Peralta and substitute Javier Cortes which led Mexico on track for major title.
