Premier League Matchday 21 Results: Liverpool 3-0 Sunderland

Liverpool enjoyed near total domination over lackluster Sunderland at Anfield. Two goals from in-form Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez helped the Reds to a victory.

Liverpool have took the lead when young midfielder Raheem Sterling scored a deftly executed finish in the 18th minute. Things went from bad to worse for Sunderland as Luis Suarez extended team’s lead with an excellent finish with the outside of his right boot in the 25th minute. No prizes for guessing who rounded off Liverpool’s victory after latching onto marvelous Gerrard’s pass and sliding the ball under Mignolet in the 52nd minute.

Luis Suarez has got the Liverpool fans used to his heroics this season, while established Reds’ leader Steven Gerrard stayed in the background. However the fans were undoubtedly satisfied to witness his bright comeback during the clash against Sunderland. Experienced midfielder has been the second best teams’ performer behind Suarez as he put in a typical committed performance for Liverpool and set up two goals.

Gerrard has been ever-present for the Reds at the back this season, having made 21 appearances, scoring 4 goals and setting up another 8.
