PSG chase Nani as United reluctant to offer him an improved contract

Paris Saint-Germain are weighting up a summer move for Manchester United winger Nani, whose future remains in the dark with the Premier League leaders being reluctant to meet his inflated wage demands.

The 26-year-old Portugal international is set to enter the final year of his contract. The negotiations over a new contract have reportedly reached a stalemate, with winger demanding a staggering £100,000 per week. United boss Sir Alex Ferguson does not think such a wage reflects the player’s ability, as he failed to become a key figure at the club despite his huge potential.

Paris Saint-Germain are determined to take advantage of the situation and lure Nani to Parc des Princes. They believe £10 million will be enough to persuade Man Utd part ways with the demanding player. Should Man Utd fail to secure Nani’s services this would be a major blow, as they have splashed out £20 million on the player in 2007.
