PSG to make an approach for Villas-Boas

Paris Saint-Germain are weighing up the possibility of replacing their want-away manager Carlo Ancelotti with Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas.

PSG, owned by Qatari Royal Family, are looking to enter the negotiations with Villas-Boas’ representatives and make an offer he could not resist. It is rumoured the Portuguese will be offered four-year contract worth £40 million, with the newly crowned Ligue 1 champions tabling the same amount as a compensation fee.

However Villas-Boas himself is believed to be reluctant to part ways with the Spurs, as he owes his current side a debt of loyalty. It is to be recalled Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy backed Villas-Boas last summer giving him three-year contract, after he was dismissed as Chelsea manager after less than a season in charge.

Levy and Tottenham hierarchy believe Portuguese managed to live up to the expectations invested in him, as he broke the record of club’s Premier League point tally, even though this achievement did not result into the Champions League qualification.

That said, PSG are facing tough negotiations with Andre Villas-Boas and it will take a huge amount of money to make him part ways with Spurs.
