Rio Ferdinand considers China move

Man Utd legendary center back Rio Ferdinand is reportedly considering the offer from a Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua. Red Devils are prepared to offer the new deal to the 33 year-old stopper but urge him to accept pay-cut.

Rio Ferdinand’s £130,000 per week deal is due to expire next summer. It is rumored that the Chinese club has offered the lucrative salary which is twice as big as Rio’s current deal.

It is to be recalled that Nicolas Anelka made the switch to Shanghai Shenhua in the January transfer window for a salary of £175,000. Didier Drogba was yet another player to accept a tempting offer from the Chinese club (around £200,000 per week).
