Roma parted ways with Baldini

Roma confirmed they parted ways with director general Franco Baldini, fuelling the speculation he could be joining Tottenham in the near future.

Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas is reportedly keen to see Baldini joining his coaching staff at the White Hart Lane and now the Italian is free to decide on his future after leaving the Serie A side.

Roma president James Pallotta said: “We thank Franco Baldini for his service to AS Roma over the past two seasons. He played an important role in the launch of our project. We wish him well in his future endeavors.”

Baldini stated on his departure: “I want to thank the owners of AS Roma for the opportunity that was given to me. I was very happy at Roma and wish the club, players and fans all the best.”
