Silva major doubt for FA Cup clash with Chelsea

Manchester City have suffered major blow to their chances of making it through to the FA Cup final with the news their playmaker David Silva has suffered an injury in Manchester derby.

Silva has limped off late in Manchester City’s crucial 2-1 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford. The Citizens boss Roberto Mancini revealed the player has sustained damage to his hamstring and could miss FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea, while admitting the Blues are a serious threat.

The Italian said: “I think it is a hamstring injury. Maybe it is not so bad but I don’t think he will be ready for Chelsea. Chelsea are in a good moment, they play well and it will be difficult. It will be a good game, probably, but it will be different. Semi-finals are different from championship games.”
