Spartak Moscow Emenike dreams of England, plays down rumours of Liverpool move

Sky Sports informs Spartak Moscow hitman Emmanuel Emenike is keen on Premier League move, but has played down rumours linking him with a move to Liverpool.

The 25-year-old striker has joined the Russian side for €10 million from Fenerbahce in 2011. He has caught attention by helping Nigeria to claim the Africa Cup of Nations’ title. He has finished the tournament as a top-scorer with four goals.

However Emenike has played down the speculations linking with a move to the Anfield revealing he would welcome the opportunity of playing in England. He said: “It is paper talk at the moment, but a club like Liverpool makes people dream. Growing up in Africa, you hear about the Kop and you want to score goals at that end. It would be amazing, like winning the Africa Cup of Nations. I have always dreamed of playing in the Premier League and, if the opportunity arrives, I will be happy.”
