Sturridge close to Liverpool move

The Guardian informs that Chelsea interim Rafa Benitez is determined to sell his forward Daniel Sturridge in January in order to shake up his squad.

Benitez is said to be ready to listen to any offers for the player with Liverpool considered the most likely contender to sign the £12 million-rated forward. Liverpool coach Brendan Rodgers is reportedly keen to sign the 23 year-old to ease the attacking burden on his only forward Luis Suarez.

Sturridge is frustrated at being benched for the whole season. He has made just one appearance for his club so far.
