Sturridge injury worry for England

Daniel Sturridge is a major doubt for the game against San Marino, as he has suffered a thigh injury at the training session.

Liverpool striker is set to be assessed by the medical staff to determine whether he is fit enough to feature in the upcoming game. The player has made an excellent start to his career at Anfiled averaging a goal a game however he was forced to spend some time on the sidelines due to injury.

Sturridge is believed to be keen on playing for England and was desperate for a chance against the minnows. But Hodgson is unlikely to risk the player, should his injury be recognized as serious.
