Swansea Laudrup tipped to succeed Mancini

Swansea Laudrup tipped to succeed Mancini

Daily Star suggests Swansea boss Michael Laudrup could replace Roberto Mancini in charge of Manchester City.

Under-fire Roberto Mancini’s long-term future at the club is under threat as he has missed out both on Champions’ League last-16 qualification and Premier League title this season.

Laudrup has clearly impressed at his debut season with Swansea, leading the Welsh side to Capital One Cup final and playing an entertaining football. The Dane is believed to have close relationship with City’s director of football Begiristain, as they were playing for Barca for around five years. However, it remains to be seen whether Manchester City manage to lure the manager with a lucrative offer.

Laudrup himself is keen on staying at Swansea, with the club is said to be ready to start the contract negotiations the next week.
