Tim Howard: Everton need to hold onto Moyes

Sky Sports states that Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard is reassured the Toffees should do their utmost to retain their manager David Moyes as he is integral to team’s recent successes.

Moyes’ current deal is set to expire in summer, but the manager said he wants to posttope the contract negotiations until summer, which sparked the rumours connecting Moyes to Chelsea job.

Howard stressed that players are trying not to think about perspective of their boss leaving the club. “The manager he needs to stay, everyone knows that. It is no secret but that is an outside issue and that doesn’t concern, currently, the players. We have to focus on the task and that is playing and performing, and he focusses on getting us ready for the games and performing and it [his future] is not something he talks about and we just get on with it.”
