Tottenham Assou-Ekotto and Parker returned to light training

Tottenham have been handed a boost with the news that left-back Benoît Assou-Ekotto and defensive midfielder Scott Parker have returned to light training following their long absence due to injury.

28 year-old Cameroon international Assou-Ekotto has been Spurs firm first-choice player for about four seasons. However he was left out of contention for about three months after he has suffered knee injury in September.

32 year-old enthusiastic midfielder Scott Parker has missed almost entire season due to Achilles tendon injury. Despite Parker’s recovery went quicker than expected Tottenham coach André Villas-Boas did not rush his player to back into action. The England international could return in the match against Swansea on Sunday.

THey are both important players for Spurs, I would say iconic for their style.
