Tottenham to make final £15m bid for Internacional Damiao

Daily Mail states that Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas is set to make final £15 million bid for Internacional hitman Leandro Damiao as the Spurs badly need another forward amid the news of Defoe’s injury.

AVB hopes that Internacional are prepared to sell their prolific striker after signing Luan from Palmeiras. However it would be difficult to complete the deal as Damiao needs to gain the work permit and there is not enough time for this as the transfer window closes in two days.

Alvaro Negredo from Sevilla and Eder from Sporting Braga, who are also on AVB’s shopping list, seem to be more viable options. Meanwhile, another Tottenham target Gary Hooper has apparently gone out of the Spurs’ reach as Celtic boss Neil Lennon rejected any attempt of luring his star away from the Celtic Park.
